Misioneras Group's story

The communal association "Las Misioneras de La Cascada" is part of the focal center of la Cascada. They wish to start their first cycle as a communal association.
There are eleven women who are members of the "Misioneras" communal association. Missing in the photo is Martha O. who had to go to collect her young daughter from school.
The businesses that the members have stated are: sale of clothing, vegetables, jelly, shoes, food, fried chicken, a neighborhood shop and bookbinding.
María Antonieta A. is the president of the association. She is 53 years old and is full of energy and good cheer. She is married with 7 children from this marriage, 5 who are already married and 2 that are still single and under her care. The business that she is developing is selling clothes to order, which means she buys clothes that her clients ask her for, with cash and she charges her clients in several payments with a little interest. She was taught this business by a relative. Her request for this cycle is for Bs.2000.- and to service it she will respond quickly to the orders that she receives from her clients. She says that she has clients in the area where she lives and also in other areas of the city of El Alto and La Paz.
When she has enough orders, she travels to the Oruro department to purchase wholesale or if the orders are small she goes to La Paz city.
