Sobheya is the featured borrower of a group loan, Tala Group, that consists of two hardworking Lebanese women: Wafaa, the lady on the right side of the picture, and Sobheya, the lady on the left side.
Sobheya is an 18-year-old, married mother of two children, who is running her own business in making traditional homemade food (Mouneh). This is in addition to her agriculture business, where she plants a special type of vegetable called Mulukhiya. Through her work, she can maintain all the living needs of her family and help her husband in covering their expenses.
Sobheya agreed with Wafaa to acquire a loan from Kiva's field partner, Al Majmoua, to rent land for her agriculture business and plant Mulukhiya.
The hardworking mother wishes to develop her business continuously and match the demands of her customers continuously.
