A loan helped to buy necessary cloth and other sewing supplies for developing products.

Ruzimo's story

Ruzimo is a woman who likes to work hard. She has had her own business for more than 20 years. She is busy with making national ‘kurpacha,’ a mattress seat of the Tajik people made from different kinds of cloth and cotton.

A widow, she brings up her child alone. Ruzimo has ‘golden hands,’ and she prepares wonderful products which are useful for housing. She sells kurpacha in the local market.

She wants to develop her business to raise the level of their life. Ruzimo is asking for a loan to buy cloth for producing kurpacha. She would consider herself lucky if you help her.

This loan is special because:

It allows Tajik artisans to support their families and carry on important handicraft traditions.
