A loan helped to buy a wheelbarrow, rake, shovel, water tank, more seedlings (taro roots and banana tubes) and gloves.

Olaiala's story

Olaiala is a 46-year-old mother of five children. She runs a small business selling taro and bananas in her village to earn a living. She became a member of SPBD in 2019. Olaiala is enjoying herself being a member of the program and even encouraged other mothers to join the program to seek financing to develop their family businesses.

Olaiala requested a loan to buy a wheelbarrow, rake, shovel, water tank, more seedlings (taro roots and banana tubes) and gloves, to help her run the business.

Olaiala is very grateful for your support. Her dream is that one day she will export her business.

This loan is special because:

It provides women with credit in a country where alternative financing is extremely scarce.
