A loan helped a member to buy second-hand clothing in bulk.

Sujaa Group's story

Immaculee is a client with the micro-finance institution Hekima and the president of the banque villageois called "Sujaa." Married and 57 years old, she is a mother of six children. Two of the children are in school, while the other four are already done with school. Her husband is a mechanic.

Immaculee sells second-hand clothing, a business she started in 2012 with funds she received from her husband. Later she received a loan from Hekima to support her business. With this new loan, she is going to buy second-hand clothing in bulk to strengthen her business. One challenge to her business is police harassment.

Immaculee wishes to educate her children and feed her family. Finally, she thanks Hekima and their partners for their support to entrepreneurs who lack access to banking services.
