Birane's story

I’m Birane Seck, 36 years old, is the founder and owner of Jeef Jeel LLC. I am originally from Senegal (West Africa) and have been living in the United States, with my spouse and 2 young daughters, for a decade now. I'm a graduate – focused in business administration. I had since been working in sales, marketing and interpreter jobs.
Growing up in Senegal, I was introduced to Coffee Touba, which is a traditional Senegalese coffee. I learned to make the coffee at a young age at home and i would even make the coffee at the Darra (traditional School in Senegal).

In Senegal the community would gather and enjoy this coffee – it’s known as a coffee of peace and harmony. This is what later inspired me to bring this coffee to people here in the US. I was brought up in a community that values work and service to others – this is something that is a big part of who I’m and it is the driving force for the vision behind our company.

I recently turned my love for coffee and my mission to serve, into a business – this was the birth of Jeef Jeel LLC. Jeef Jeel LLC’s mission is to bring health and wellness to as many people as I can.

Jeef Jeel LLC’s staple product is the delicious Coffee Touba – me and my spouse started make the coffee at our apartment in Brooklyn. Coffee Touba is made with all natural organic ingredients, of Arabic coffee roasted with spices (selim pepper), small batches handmade . We help support Senegalese farmers to be reintegrated back into the community by using a portion of his profits to help educate farmers – and kids
