Mantjoetso is a 73 year old woman who lives with her sister's child a multi bedroom house without access to electricity. She is struggling as she doesn't have job and relies on a pension fund for groceries and for energy expenses such as mobile phone charging, paraffin and gas, which costs up to LSL 495 per month.
She also spends as much as 4 hours per day gathering fuel and fulfilling other energy needs like phone charging. Mantjoetso and the other members of the group in this village each bought the ACE 1 cookstove to help them save the money they spend every month on fuel and also help them access solar electricity for charging their mobile devices any time for free. The ACE 1 clean cook-stove is biomass and solar powered. For more information on the ACE 1 cook stove please visit www.africancleanenergy.com and Facebook @African Clean Energy
