Fanilia is a Haitian immigrant woman who came to the Dominican Republic over 40 years ago in search of better living conditions, fleeing the difficult poverty situation in which she lived in Haiti. She now lives with her spouse and children in San Pedro de Macoris.
At first, Fanilia sold chicken. She had five children and has maintained her family for many years. Now she has a store where she sells goods such as flour, oil, bread, soft drinks, and plantains, among other things, to her community. She has had this business for three years.
She wants her business to grow to better support her family and the community. Stores of this type are integral in the life of the community in the Dominican Republic. They provide clean water and basic food to the people who live nearby.
Fanilia needs your help to stock her store with merchandise and grow her earnings. A loan not only helps Fanilia but also her family and the entire community, which relies on Fanilia's store.
