A loan helped to purchase hives, a smoker, a beekeeping mask and protective clothing.

Louines's story

Louines is a 60-year-old man living in a rural area of Haiti. To earn an everyday living in this remote neighborhood, he is used to do beekeeping as his main economic activity. That is what helps him with his five dependents.

As he recently found a local buyer in bulk, he now is looking for a small loan to buy essential supplies like new hives, a smoker, a beekeeping mask and protective clothing. With this loan, he will be able to produce quality honey and he will also sell the bee wax to a group of women who make candles.

This loan is special because:

It provides small and growing businesses in Haiti with access to capital.
