A loan helped to pay for field works to improve her harvest of organic watermelons and melons.

Rahat's story

Rahat is 26 years old, married, and has three children. Rahat has a secondary education. She knows how to run a farming business and is able to invest funds as necessary. Since 2013 she has been engaged in animal husbandry for her family's main source of income. Thanks to Rahat's persistent hard work, at present her farm has two cows and 15 sheep, as well as 1.66 hectares of irrigated land on which she grows watermelons and melons.

With the aim of further developing her farm, Rahat has applied to Bai Tushum Bank for a loan of 100,000 som (KGS) to pay for field works, in order to increase her income from growing organic produce. Rahat intends to use the funds from the loan to further develop her farm and improve her family's material well-being.
