Guidith,41 years of age, is a single mother with five children. She considers herself to be a strong, enterprising, charismatic, contributing woman, and a good mother who strives so that her children will manage to reach their goals.
She works selling "marcianos" [frozen popsicles] and growing cacao. She has had her business for seven years. Her major goal was to increase production and to start working independently.
She requests a loan to buy ingredients for her "marcianos", such as fruit, and to tend to her cacao crop.
Her greatest dream is to keep working, starting very early, to be able to get her children ahead, and above all, to save to be able to cover the university expenses of her eldest daughter.
Guidith belongs to, and is the leader of, the group "San Juan Bautista". It includes eight members, and is a very happy and participatory group. They have great desires to get ahead for the betterment of their families.
