A loan helped to purchase more cows and fodder in order to expand the dairy business.

Papiya's story

Papiya is a 30-year-old married woman from a small village of Burdwan district, West Bengal. She has a family of four and a monthly household income of INR 5,500. Her family includes two daughters. Both of them are attending school.

She is engaged in the dairy business. She rears a few cows and sells dairy products such as milk, buttermilk, cottage cheese, ghee, etc in the local market. The income is barely enough to cover the family and educational expenses of her children.

She plans to purchase a few good quality cows and fodder in order to make more profit and increase her income. Hence, she has applied for a loan of INR 30,000 from Grameen Shakti, one of Milaap's field partners.

She and her family will be thankful to the lenders for their support.
