Jencen is 22 years old, and lives with his partner Diana (20) and their son Kenyi (2) in his parents-in-law's house.
A kilometer from the city, he owns two pieces of land that his parents and parents-in-law gave him so that he could plant potatoes. Currently, with the help of his partner he raises two cows which he milks to make cheese to then sell. They also have two bulls, three sheep, and five pigs all of which he may sell if financial trouble demands it.
Jencen has worked in agriculture for four years and with the income he is generating, he is slowly replacing household appliances and furniture, and fulfilling other family needs. Thus, he improves his family's lifestyle. He would like to now buy more land for planting. He will also build a food store at home that his wife will manage. In the meantime, he will sell animals in the weekly markets around his town.
This is the fifth loan Jencen has requested from Kiva partner MFP. As always, he is sure he will pay every installment on time because his communal bank's members are quite dedicated and responsible. With the PEN 500 he is requesting, he hopes to buy bags of potato seeds and fertilizer.
