Gs Cementeras Group's story

Maria is a 63-year-old widow, mother of 6 children. She lives with her under aged children in the municipality of Lepaera, in the vicinity of Gracias, Lempiras.

For 21 years she has worked farming good excellent quality coffee. In addition she farms vegetables and other basic grains in her own land. She sells de-pulped beans, either fresh or dried, to the resellers in the area.

She wants to invest in her crops and is requesting her second credit as a group loan to buy fertilizer and micro nutrient sprays for maintaining her coffee farm. Her goal is to buy more more land for planting coffee and other crops.

The group is called G.S Cementeras and has 3 members, all of whom work in agriculture: They request a group loan for the amount of 13,000 HNL to buy fertilizer and micro nutrient sprays.
