Nicolae's story

Nicolae is a young farmer who has a great desire to develop a business in Moldova. He is 41, married but does not have any children yet. Nicolae and his wife live in the Tocuz village, Causeni region of Moldova. He started farming 12 years ago. Nicolae deals with processing of agricultural lands and rising animals. He processes 25 ha of land using his own agricultural equipment. He sells on average between 25 to 40 pigs yearly. Part of his supply of cereals he uses for animal feed and the part he manages to sell. Nicolae's revenue from farming is the main source of income for his family. He needs financials to buy diesel and feed for his pigs so he decided to ask a loan from Kiva. As a result, he will be able to develop his sustainable business.
