Tubarzhan has successfully repaid her loan. She is really grateful to kiva and to everyone who has helped her with financing. At present Tubarzhan has one cow, five sheep and 1.8 ha [4.5 acres] of land, where she grows potatoes and clover.
In order to develop her farm further, Tubarzhan again reached out to the Bai Tushum bank for a loan in the amount of 50,000 som (KGS) to pay the costs of field labor, with the goal of increasing her revenues from growing organic potatoes.
Tubarzhan plans to invest the revenues from this loan in a further expansion of her farm by increasing her livestock headcount and to spend one part of the funds to improve her family’s living conditions.
