A loan helped a member to buy ingredients to make local dishes.

Tula Group's story

The group "Tula" consists of four hardworking women who have been searching for ways to make a living since they were very young. Soraya sells nacatamales, a typical Nicaraguan dish made of corn, pork, rice, onion, pepper, chile, potato, etc. This dish is never missing from the weekend breakfast table of Nicaraguans.

The other members are María Felipa, who sells coffee and milk, María Luisa, who also sells nacatamales, and Jeysi who has a sewing workshop. They will invest the loan in their respective businesses.

In this group: Soraya Margarita, Maria Felipa, Maria Luisa, Jeysi Del Socorro
