María is 61 years old and lives in Ibarra with her daughter and grandson. All her life she has dedicated herself to sewing, and especially to working with recycled materials. Her most popular products are purses, such as large and small hand bags, but she also makes clothing like jackets and shirts. She is a member of the Association for Entrepreneurial Women, which provides uniforms for children attending public schools.
María needs a loan in order to buy fabric for making blankets. This is an order that she needs to complete for a regular customer.
María is very thankful for the help that Kiva has offered so that she can continue to improve her quality of life.
