A loan helped to buy oils, body lotions, biscuits, cigarettes, coffee, sugar, salt, water and noodles.

Joaquina's story

Joaquina is 32 years old and married with 1 child. Her husband is a teacher and she lives in Dili City. She has a kiosk that she started in 2016, where many people come to buy goods every day. Running her business has made Joaquina independent because she can be responsible for herself and also help support her family.

She would like a loan of $1000 from KIF to help improve her kiosk. She plans to use this loan to buy additional supplies such as oils, body lotions, biscuits, cigarettes, coffee, sugar, salt, water and noodles. She would also like to buy a refrigerator to keep drinks cold.

Joaquina hopes to run a bigger business in the future and wants to thank lenders for the opportunity.
