Celestino is a hard-working, 47 year old man. He lives with his wife, 38 year old Dominga, and his two children, 17 year old Noemí and 15 year old Raquel. They live in their own house.
He is very proud to have been a farmer for 20 years. He has his wife’s support; she gave him the ideas to progress. With effort and dedication in what he knows how to do best, he wants to give his family a good quality of life. With the income from the farming he was able to buy a house and furnish it. He was also able to buy fertile land where he harvests a great quantity of potatoes, peas, corn, and flowers (gladiolas). Later on he plans to buy fertile land in a coffee growing area in the central jungle of Perú.
This is the second loan he has had with MFP. Like the first time, he will show that he is responsible in his actions. He affirms that he is happy to belong to such an organized communal bank. With the amount that he is now requesting he will buy three sacks of fertilizer and two bottles of insecticide to protect the plants in his fields. He also intends to pay the workmen he will hire.
