A loan helped a member to purchase large quantities of rice and beans for sale.

Twitezimbere M0023 Group's story

Liberata is a 50-year-old mother of 3 children, who are all attending school. She is very committed to the well-being of her family, so she always hopes to improve her family's living standard.

Liberata owns a small retail shop, selling rice and beans. She has been in this business for the past 15 years and has no employees. She gradually expanded her business, but her lack of capital prevents her from reaching her selling targets and threatens the growth of her business profits.

For that reason, she is requesting this loan in order to purchase large quantities of rice and beans for sale. This will increase sales and revenues as well. Also, with the profits, she will be able to continue paying school fees without any problems. She believes that in the future her business will be flourishing. This is Liberata's 8th loan cycle with VisionFund Rwanda. She is a leader of Twitezimbere M0023, pictured here in front of the others with a register book in her hands. She is truly thankful to the Kiva lenders for allowing her this loan.
