A loan helped to buy more seeds, manure, and some new farming equipment for her farm.

Ofelia's story

In 2015 Ofelia had borrowed a loan to improve her kiosk. This time she would like to take another loan to improve her farm. She works in agriculture, and she mainly grows onions on her farm. After the onions are grown and ripe, she will harvest and bring them to market to sell. She has been planting onions for a year now with her own working capital.

She is requesting a loan of $1,500 trough KIF to help her improve her business. Every day, she is doing her activities by planting and looking after her vegetables because she also makes a living from it and earns a good income for her loving family. She plans to use this loan to buy more manure, other vegetable seeds, and some new farming equipment in order to increase the amount of vegetables in the next coming harvest.

This loan is special because:

It provides entrepreneurs in underserved communities with the means to grow their businesses.
