A loan helped to buy banana tubes, taro roots, a wheelbarrow, a water tank, a rake, a shovel, and chemicals.

Ana's story

Ana is a 46-year-old mother of 5 children. She operates a business selling bananas and taro in her community to earn a living.

She has been doing this for more than 2 years and came up with an idea to improve her business. She joined SPBD in 2019 and hopes to use her business profits to expand her business.

Ana requested a loan to buy banana tubes, taro roots, a wheelbarrow, a water tank, a rake, a shovel, and chemicals to assist her in running the business.

This loan is special because:

It provides women with credit in a country where alternative financing is extremely scarce.
