A loan helped a member to buy wool at wholesale.

Amazonas Group's story

Amazonas Group, as a communal bank that is part of the Agencia Villa Tejada agency, is made up of nine members and is directed by a board of directors, where Maria is the president.

Maria, 33 years old, lives common-law and has two children. She has a business selling blankets. With her loan, she will buy wool at wholesale that she will acquire from the wholesale vendors in the city of La Paz. Subsequently, she will make the blankets and sell them at her sales stall.

This way of working enables her to generate resources to support her family financially. Her aspirations are to expand her business. Maria asks that lenders can again place their trust in her communal bank.
