A loan helped to buy a refrigerator to store the fish she sells.

Santos Morena's story

Santos did not have the opportunity to attend school. She is married, and her husband works in agriculture. She has two children who are now independent.

For three years Santos has worked selling fish, a job she learned from a friend. She walks six kilometers from her house to where she works. She works four days a week, from 5:00 in the morning until noon.

She needs a loan to buy a refrigerator to store the fish she sells. Her dream is to make her business grow and to have more opportunities to generate income for the wellbeing of her family.

Translated from Spanish by Kiva volunteer Laurie Hiller.
