A loan helped a member to purchase fabrics and textiles needed for her business to increase her productivity.

Majmouet Yassine Group's story

Razan is the featured borrower of Majmouet Yassine Group, which consists of three Syrian ladies.

She gets along with other group members, because they trust and respect each other enough to acquire a Syrian refugee loan from Kiva’s field partner, Al Majmoua. They’re working hard to improve their families’ living standards and their businesses.

Razan is a 27-year-old married mother of four. She runs her own tailoring business where she works hard to support her husband in covering living expenses. She learned this business from her mother and she is developing it gradually.

Her share of the loan will be used to purchase fabrics and textiles needed for her business to increase her productivity.

Razan is the lady in the middle. As for other group members, Azari is the lady on the right-hand side and Najah is the lady on the left-hand side of the photo.

In this group: Razan, Azari, Najah

This loan is special because:

It gives opportunity to Syrian refugees who have fled the war in Syria.
