Juliana's story

Juliana is modest, hardworking 44-year-old and is married. She has amazing skill and experience with East Timor traditional woven cloth called tais, and she makes a living from it. Her weaving shop, which she has been running for many years now, is well located where it is easy to find, and many people come to buy her weaving every day. Running the business has made her become independent because she can be responsible for herself and also help support her family's everyday needs.

She would like a loan of USD 1,500 through KIF to help improve her weaving shop. She plans to use this loan to buy additional items, such as different colors of yarn and/or warp threads. She hopes to expand the size of her business in the future and wants to thank lenders for the opportunity. She is happy with this loan because it will improve her living conditions in the future.
