A loan helped to buy more soap, rice, vegetable oil, red oil, onions, tomatoes, and other items to sell.

Jenet's story

Jenet is a 50-year-old, married woman, and lives in Liberia. She is a businesswoman and has 5 children. 4 of her children are presently attending school while living at home. She never had the opportunity to attend school.

She runs a shop which sells soap, rice, vegetable oil, red oil, onions, tomatoes, and other items. She has been selling for the past 30 years and has had no problem with her business. She learned the trade from her stepmother and started selling with some financial help from her stepmother.

To increase her business, Jenet requested a loan to buy more soap, rice, vegetable oil, red oil, onions, tomatoes, and other items to sell in order to make more profit and be able to take care of her needs. In the future, she would like to build a house and continue sending her children to school. She says thanks for your support.

This loan is special because:

It serves low-income individuals in rural Liberia where few alternative funding sources exist.
