Koala O Chake Group's story

Makhotso is a 43-year-old hardworking woman married to a 49-year-old gentleman who works at the mines in South Africa.

Makhotso works as a cook in one of the high schools in her village. She lives with her two children in a multi-bedroom house. Makhotso spends LSL 820 on cooking gas, paraffin, and firewood every month. She says she struggles to get her mobile device charged since there is no electricity in her village.

Makhotso and the two other ladies in her village say the ACE1 cook-stove is going to help them save a lot of money that they spend on cooking fuel every month. The ACE 1 clean cook-stove is biomass and solar powered.
