A loan helped a member to buy fertilizer and compost.

Gs.: Amigos De Arenas Blancas Group's story

Dania lives in the village of Arenas Blancas Patuca with her children. She is 55 years old and is an honest, hard-working and responsible person.

Her main jobs are in farming growing cassava, and livestock, from which she obtains the necessary income to cover basic needs. From her home she also receives remittances from her daughter who is in Spain.

Dania is requesting a loan to buy fertilizers and compost to sow 5mz of cassava. She knows that with the support she is given she will obtain good profits, and therefore little by little she will achieve her dreams that are to see her children succeed, and give them the best education. She will continue to work hard to see her dreams come true. She knows that with her effort she will achieve it.

Her groupmates are Diana and Lester who work in agriculture.

This loan is special because:

It has a below-market interest rate and is repaid at harvest, when farmers can more easily repay.
