A loan helped to purchase juice, soda, water, snacks, bar soap, sugar, maize flour, lotions, tea leaves, and matchboxes to sell.

Bituro's story

Bituro is 62 years old and a married father of 3 children who are all grown up and live their own life. He is a retailer who sells soft drinks, detergents, food items, and stationery items in his own general shop. He has been in this business for 29 years. He operates his business from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. every day and makes a profit.

This will be Bituro's fourth loan request from Tujijenge Tanzania. He used his previous loans to add more cereals, cooking oil, detergents, and stationery. He earned a profit that he used to cover his family's needs, reinvest in his business, and repay his loan on time. He is applying for this loan to purchase juice, soda, water, snacks, bar soap, sugar, maize flour, lotions, tea leaves, and matchboxes. His dream is to open a clothing shop someday.

Bituro will be responsible for paying back the loan.

This loan is special because:

It provides loans to borrowers in very deep rural areas via mobile money innovation.
