A loan helped a member to buy fertilizer for the coffee field.

Ang Nua 60 Group's story

Chinh is 45 years old. She has been a farmer since she was very little. Now she lives with five other family members in a small house in Vietnam's mountainous northwest. Like other villagers, agricultural production is her family's main income but it is low and not stable. This coffee season she collected less than she expected so it is more difficult for her to cover all living expenses for the crowed family.

Since she learned about the Anh Chi Em program, Chinh has been interested in its loan and agricultural training and counseling, which have actually affected her farming and animal husbandry favorably. This is the eighth time she has taken out a loan from the Anh Chi Em program to buy fertilizer for her coffee trees. She hopes this investment will go well and help her reap good profits, which she plans to use to pay for her son’s tuition and reinvest in husbandry.

In the picture, she stands at the first from the right.
