Julián lives in the town of San Juan, a community of coffee growers fifty minutes from San Ignacio, Perú. He is 58 years old, and lives with his 55-year-old wife and his three minor children.
Julián has a 2 hectare parcel of excellent quality coffee that he sells at a local cooperative. His hope is to increase his production of coffee and generate more income for his family unit. For that reason he will invest the loan in the purchase of fertilizers. With the earnings he obtains he hopes to improve his home a bit.
This is the first loan he seeks as a member of Norandino. He is grateful to the Kiva investors for their support.
