A loan helped to pay for five sacks of compost, and weeding, to tend to his coffee crop.

Edgar Osmin's story

Edgar is 27 years old. He is in a common-law relationship and has one child. He lives with his family in a community in Gracias, Lempira.

For ten years, he has worked growing and selling coffee that he grows on his own land. This is the main source of income for his family. He sells his production to intermediaries in the area as wet- and dry-processed beans.

He requests his fourth loan from ODEF in the amount of 20,000 Lempiras that he will invest in the purchase of five sacks of compost and weeding, to tend to his coffee crop. This will help him to improve production and sell at better prices. His goal is to increase his production, to see his family prosper, and to continue growing as an agricultural producer.
