A loan helped a member to buy sheep to resell and help her husband with the family expanses.

Dounokene Group's story

Djeneba is the woman with her hand raised in the photo. She is a 48 year old Malian, married and the mother of six children who all go to school. Her husband is a farmer.

Djeneba has been raising sheep for 11 years. She has come to RMCR in order to increase her turnover and buy lots of sheep. She makes her purchases and sales in the local market where she lives. With her profits she manages to help her family in providing for the children (medical expenses, clothing...).

She often has to deal with sick sheep. She urgently wishes to provide her children's needs so they succeed at school.
