A loan helped to start her own poultry project.

Faith's story

Faith is a 19-year-old entrepreneur who lives with her parents in the Gokwe South in Zimbabwe.

She is requesting a Kiva loan to start her own poultry project.

Faith plans to use the profit she earns to meet the financial needs of her family and support herself.

She will repay the ‘social interest’ on her loan by volunteering four hours per week as a Young Woman on Transition, to shadow and support Transition Guides as they carry out sessions in communities and Learner Guides to follow up students with attendance challenges and dropouts.

This loan is special because:

It is a 0% interest loan for young women with new businesses.
