Los Cerezos (Portoviejo) Group's story

The city of Portoviejo was affected by the earthquake of April 16th, 2016. The city is rich with the production of vegetables, legumes, and tropical fruit for local use.

The loan group gets together every fifteen days at a member's home. It consists of twelve members, of whom ten are women and two are men.

Ana is the group's secretary. She is 31 years old and the single mother of an 8-year-old who is in school. They live in her mother's home.

Ana works so that her child can get ahead. She sells a variety of clothing to women, men, and children, along with makeup, lotions, face wash, purses, wallets, etc. She works every day for about four hours and collects weekly. She has had this business for about two years or more.

She will buy an assortment of lotions in fragrances, face wash, makeup, purses, wallets, etc.

Her dream is to have her own home, and for her family to enjoy good health.
