Ana lives in the area of Añaspamba, a small community in the city of Ibarra. She has always been known for being an enterprising woman who is devoted to her home and children. When she started a relationship with her common-law partner who works as a day laborer, they began planting potatoes, ulloco [a tuber that is indigenous to the Andes], and other crops. In addition, Ana raises pigs, chickens, and guinea pigs.
Thanks to her hard work and long hours she put in over the years, she was able to acquire the land that she currently cultivates. She also established a home for her six children.
Ana currently needs a loan so that she can plant potatoes on her land that is ready for sowing. She needs to buy the necessary supplies for growing this type of crop. Ana is very grateful for the support that is being offered by the lenders since it will help boost her work for her benefit and for everyone in her family.
