A loan helped a member to pay for additional organic pesticide.

Von Group's story

Von, 56, works as a farmer. She is married to a farmer and now they are blessed with three children. She does a lot of work on her cashew farm to improve her family’s quality of life. She has been operating her cashew farm since 2009. She is very satisfied with her knowledge, skills, and experience with farming. Her farm gets much better, year to year.

Based on this expanding work, she has applied for second loan cycle in her two-member group through KREDIT under the community bank program. Von can be seen on the right side of the photo, and will use her loan portion to serve as capital to pay for additional organic pesticide for her cashew farm. She thinks that this loan will enable her to get higher crop yields than the past years, and will raise her family’s living conditions.
