A loan helped a member to buy rice seeds and fertiliser.

Marianne's Group's story

This group is composed of five members. They live in a village where there is a strong social cohesion that led to their group forming in 2008. Their main activity is agriculture.

Aminata, standing on the far right of the photo with her hand raised, is the group's representative. She is married, 55 years old, and has two children. Her main activity is agriculture, so with this credit she will buy seeds to produce rice to sell to her loyal customers in the market.

With her profits, she will be able to pay for the schooling of her children, to provide for her family, and also to save in order to develop her business.

In this group: Marianne, Diama Bama , Aminata , Mamadou, Fatimata
