A loan helped to buy a cow, salt, and vitamins.

Rosa Matilde's story

Matilda is a 70-year-old woman. She lives with her husband who has been in poor health lately. Matilde and her husband make a living raising animals. She likes taking care of her livestock a lot, since it is her main source of income since she is not able to do work that involves hard labor due to her advanced age.

Matilde has been a member of Fodemi, now Vision Fund Ecuador, for 15 years, and she has been an excellent client. She is requesting a loan of $700 which she will use to buy a cow, salt, and vitamins. She hopes that this increase in capital will increase the profitability of her milk production and help her to pay for necessities and daily sustenance.
