Norma is 28 years old and married. Her husband works in agriculture and they have two children. Her older child is in school.
Norma has been growing coffee since the age of 14, having learned this trade from her father. She now works with her husband every day of the week. Norma leaves her house at 5:00 A.M. so that she can begin her work day. She must walk 30 minutes before arriving at the parcel of land where she cultivates coffee and then returns home at 1:00 P.M. Afterwards, she finishes the rest of her activities. Her mother looks after the children when she is working.
Norma needs a loan to buy fertilizers for maintaining her parcel of coffee. Her dream is to work hard so that she can provide for her children’s studies until they become professionals.
