A loan helped a member to buy more best quality potatoes and beans seeds, fertilizers and irrigation water pipes.

Twiyubake Zihare Group's story

Delphine is 23 years old. She is married and has two young children, aged 1 and 2 years old. She lives happily with her husband, who is a farmer in Zihane-gabiro community. She is a very courageous mother and concerned about the well being of her family, so she works hard every day in order to improve her family living conditions.

For 14 good years, Delphine has cultivated and sold crops that include potatoes and beans, with two employees. She has gained a significant number of loyal customers in a very competitive market and she still wants to expand her business. Yet her lack of capital constitutes her biggest obstacle. So, in order to overcome it, she is requesting this loan to buy more best quality seeds, fertilizers and irrigation water pipes so that she increases the quality and quantity of her crops for sale, then increases her sales and earns more revenue. The benefits generated by this loan will be used to buy a domestic animal for breeding. This is her first loan cycle with Visionfund Rwanda, and she is the Twiyubake-zihare group leader.

Thus, Delphine is sincerely thankful towards the Kiva lenders for offering her this loan.
