This is Justine’s 1st loan cycle with Visionfund Rwanda and she is the Kindumurimo-Muhinzi group leader.
Justine is 29 years old and the hardworking, loving mother of 3 young children, all of whom started school already. Justine is married, lives happily in Kabeza-Kabarore community with her husband who works as a taxi-motorcycle rider. Her wish and hope is to improve the life standards of her family, specially by being able to educate her children and provide them with what is most needed for example: shelter, medicals, food and clothes so that they can grow up healthy then take care of themselves.
Justine cultivates corn and vegetable crops which she sells after harvest. She has been in this field for the past 2 years and with only 4 employees, she has gradually expanded her business. She is constantly challenged by the dry seasons which slow her business productivity and growth.
Furthermore, she lacks enough capital to utilize and overcome difficulties caused by the dry seasons which she might do by buying fertilizes and irrigation water-pipes for her farm.
Therefore, Justine is requesting this loan to buy fertilizers, the rest of the loan will be used to buy more vegetable seeds so that she can increase her farm crops seeding and sowing. Then, after harvest, she will have increased sales and revenue because she will be in possession of more products for sale.
Consequently Justine is truly thankful towards the Kiva lenders for allowing her this loan.
