Trueman's story

I was born and raised on the north side of Milwaukee to a huge family. As the youngest boy of 11 kids I looked up to my brothers and sisters. They always encouraged me and told me I would do great things in life... I believed them. My mom was my cooking inspiration. She worked for Milwaukee Public Schools during the year and catered during the summer. From her catering jobs I seen how people responded to food. Rather good or bad times...Food was always in the picture.
In High school I had to make a decision to go to culinary school, college or join a skilled trade.I picked the later because I felt it was a "safe" decision. After giving the skilled trades a shot and finding myself consistently laid off due to a down economy, I realized this wasn't for me. I also found myself 100 pounds heavier than I was in high school. With all the down time I had from layoffs, I adopted a lifestyle change that led me to ultimately find myself back with my first love. Food. I hope my story inspires others to chase their dreams and just create! They say some of the best ideas ever are buried in the graveyard. Lets get those ideas and dreams out to the world!
