Aura lives in a common-law marriage. She was born and raised in the countryside, so she only has a basic education. Although she was born in a very poor household, she learned to work hard through farming. She started to focus even more on getting ahead when she had her children. Aura started farming from a very young age and has worked in agriculture for all these years, which is how she paid for her belongings and properties. Aura, her partner and their children have developed new agricultural techniques that have allowed them to live well as a family.
Despite her experience, her onion crops are suffering from attacks of common pests and from the frosts that are becoming more common and less predictable due to climate change. These cause damage to the quality of her products, reducing her earnings and affecting her household's finances. Aura is requesting this loan to buy farming supplies like fertilisers and to pay her workers, so that she can improve the quality of her agricultural products and increase her income, thus creating a better future for her children.
