Ruth's story

Get to know Ruth!

She is a self-driven mother who believes she has what it takes to make a difference in her remote village and farm. Her zeal and drive made her start practicing mixed farming 10 years ago. Her children are the greatest thing in her life, and something that makes her feel accomplished.

Although she has only farmed for the past 10 years, she is working hard and learning good farming practices. The many obstacles that she has faced have not been setbacks, because Ruth has been making great profits in farming.

Kerugoya, Kenya is one of the places that has conditions that favor horticulture farming: good climate and soil, a transportation system, and a market.

Ruth has always wanted to diversify and start horticultural farming, but the biggest challenge she has been facing is a lack of funds.

She is requesting a loan to buy seeds and start horticultural farming. Through Juhudi Kilimo, she will be able to secure a loan. With this loan she intends to buy good quality vegetable seeds, flowers, and potatoes.

This loan will improve her living conditions and secure her children's future. Please help Ruth accomplish all these dreams with a loan and get her closer to her goals.

This loan is special because:

It finances smallholder farmers to purchase dairy cows, chickens, cereals and farming equipment.
