A loan helped to buy farm inputs such as seed and fertilizer and support her family through profits from her farm.

Joyce's story

Joyce, 41 is a smallholder single mother full of dreams and aspirations for her life. She resides in a remote village in the lush hills of Litein in the Rift Valley region of Kenya. As the key breadwinner for her family, she has been practicing mixed farming for the past six years.

Joyce's primary source of income has been milk, eggs, and crops. Although she has been making profits from farming, her quality of farm produce has continually deteriorated due to frequent attacks by pests and common weeds.

Joyce has requested a loan to buy farm inputs such as seed and fertilizer. This loan will enable her to improve her production through the use of quality farm inputs. This intervention will help her fill the increasing demand for food in the market and, in the process, generate more income to repay the loan debt and elevate the quality of life for her family.

Be inspired to lend to her and help her break the chains of poverty in her family line.

This loan is special because:

It finances smallholder farmers to purchase dairy cows, chickens, cereals and farming equipment.
