Julyn's story

Julyn is a 40-year-old woman who is married with seven children. She lives with her family in a rural community outside Honiara, capital of the Solomon Islands.

She has a garden where she grows local potatoes, cabbages and vegetables that she can sell in her community and at the market to earn a living to support her family. She has been in this business for two years.

Julyn has requested this loan to help her pay for vegetable seedlings, gardening tools and labor costs to assist her make a new garden.

She plans to use her profits to support her family and help pay for her children's school fees.

She joined SPBD in 2016 to gain access to financial services for her business.
