A loan helped a member to buy dairy cattle at wholesale for her cheese making business.

Nuevo Amanecer De Tuquia Group's story

The Communal Bank “Nuevo Amanecer de Tuquia” is part of the Copacabana agency. The group consists of eight members who are friends and neighbors from the same area. It is led by a Board of Directors in which Sra. Paulina is the president.

The loan will benefit small entrepreneurs such as Sra. Paulina. She currently has a business of selling cheese, having learned this trade from her parents 10 years ago.

The loan she is receiving now will be used to increase her capital for buying dairy cattle at wholesale from vendors in the cities of El Alto and La Paz. They will eventually be used as part of her production process.

By working in this manner, she is able to generate income to support her family. Paulina is single and has two children. Her aspirations include having a shop of her own.

In this group: Nemesia, Marina, Samuel, Beatriz, Emiliana, Paulina, Roxana, Maria
